Russia’s next humanitarian convoy ready to head to Donbass
The next convoy of Russian humanitarian aid is ready to head to Donbass, eastern Ukraine, the press service of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations told TASS on Wednesday. The 56th convoy is ready to head to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, with the start scheduled for Thursday morning. More than 60 trucks with more than 600 tons of humanitarian aid will hit the road, traveling from the southern Rostov region to cross the border with Ukraine. The bulk of the cargo is food, medicines, construction materials and learning materials. The cargo came from nongovernmental organizations and trade unions from different regions of Russia. Since August 2014, a total of 55 Russian Emergencies Ministry truck convoys have delivered over 63,000 metric tons of humanitarian cargo to Donbass.
