A severe weather warning has been issued as Hurricane Oscar is set to batter the UK over Bonfire Night weekend.


A Met Office spokesman confirmed this as he told media: “Heavy rain will spread from the west later Friday evening will last for much of Saturday, before slowly clearing from the northwest.

“30-50 mm is expected quite widely, especially on high ground with 60-80mm possible in a few areas.”
