Good afternoon from Paris,

The number of ‘yellow vests’ taking to the streets in France might be dwindling but the protests certainly haven’t stopped altogether.

More anti-government protests are set to be held on Saturday and New Year’s Eve, and will continue into 2019.
Meanwhile, the activities of some gilets jaunes might mean Macron isn’t getting the holiday respite he no doubt craves for.

January is often a time for change and there are several new laws and price hikes coming into existence that will affect life in France.

Here are the ones you need to know about.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely 2019.
