More than 1,000 Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) members were up before dawn to clean up 50 UK towns – including in Bolton, Luton, London, Glasgow, Guildford, Cardiff and Croydon

Elaine McCahill , MIRROR|AIWA! NO!|While most party goers were still in bed this morning, more than 1,000 young Muslims were cleaning up the streets after the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

As most people nursed sore heads after too much champagne, these young people were out picking up rubbish in 50 towns across the UK.

The members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) were up early and picking up rubbish and litter across Britain shortly after sunrise.

They held a special prayer before putting on their hi-vis jackets and heading out into the empty…
