A man has been arrested after a dad was stabbed to death in front of his 14-year-old son following a three-minute row on a train in front of horrified passengers.
The victim, 51, was knifed multiple times in front of his teenage son on the South Western 12.58 from Guildford in Surrey to London Waterloo shortly after 1pm yesterday.
Police swooped at an address in Farnham in Surrey at roughly 6am today where they arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
A 27-year-old woman is also being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The fatal stabbing was “not believed to be a random assault”, according to British Transport Police, who said the attacker and the victim had a verbal altercation on the train which lasted a few minutes before the attack.
