German Chancellor Angela Merkel has set her sights on Hungary amongst other European countries to take away government control of borders, according to reports. The Hungarian government, who recently rejected multiculturalism and mass migration as a resolution to market and demographic challenges, warned its citizens that the EU’s unelected leaders, alongside Merkel, are eying-up their borders.
Dr. Zoltán Kovács, the state Secretary for International Communications and Relations, said that plans to increase the role of the EU Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) were an attempt to “infringe on the sovereignty of member-states” by removing government control out of national governments’ hands.Kovác backed up his claims about the EU elites plans by citing Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany’s agenda.
“[President of the European Commission] Jean-Claude Juncker has already put forward a proposal that states that Frontex must be reinforced. However, this also means – and this is what I support, at least – that member-states on the external border of the EU must give up their national competencies to give Frontex truly comprehensive competencies.”
“That should set off warning bells throughout the EU,” he added — comparing Mrs. Merkel’s words to those of billionaire George Soros when he bragged that “our plan treats the protection of refugees as the objective and national borders as the obstacle.”
