The leaders of Britain and Italy have warned that the world cannot wait for a coronavirus vaccine. Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said citizens would have to adapt to living with the virus.
Mr Conte is allowing restaurants, bars and beaches to open from Monday, and for church services to resume and shops to reopen. Saint Peter’s Basilica throws its doors open to visitors, marking a relative return to normality at the Vatican.
The UAE confirmed 731 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, after completing 40,000 more tests. The Johns Hopkins University tracker on Monday showed there were more than 4.7 million confirmed cases around the world, with more than 315,000 deaths and 1.7 million recoveries.
