Teenager fighting for his life after being stabbed on bench at Abbey Wood station
The Southeastern station was closed after the stabbing

A teenager has been rushed to hospital with ‘life-threatening’ injuries after he was stabbed at a South London train station.
The 18-year-old was found ‘seriously injured’ on a bench in Abbey Wood station at 10.20pm on Sunday (February 14).
Emergency services rushed to the Southeastern station and took the young man to hospital where his condition has been assessed as life-threatening.
The station was forced to close after the stabbing but reopened this morning (Monday, February 15).
The British Transport Police (BTP) are now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the attack to come forward.

Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn said: “We are at an early stage in our investigation and we are keeping an open mind as to exactly where this violent incident began.
“I’d like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious along Abbey Road and Wilton Road between 9.45pm and 10.20pm to get in touch with us as soon as possible to assist the investigation
“This was a shocking act of violence and I’d like to reassure the public we’re doing all we can to find those responsible.
