US submarine was ready to sink Russian warships after 2018 strikes: Fox News
USS John Warner, a Virginia-class submarine of the United States navy, was prepared to sink Russian warships should they respond to the US airstrike in Syria in April 2018, Fox News reported on Friday.
According to Fox News, USS John Warner dove and stood ready to counter any potential response from Russian warships. The Virginia-class submarine, used for the first time in combat during the 2018 strike, was prepared to respond to Russia’s potential actions against US ships deployed in the area, including the one that was acting as a decoy and did not launch any missiles into Syria, the broadcaster claimed.
The broadcaster said that Tomahawk missiles were not used during the Thursday strike which was a warning to Iran, and the bombed area was not controlled by the Syrian government for years. According to Fox News, the fighters that were killed in eastern Syria on Thursday were most likely not Syrian nationals.
At the same time, the Trump administration’s airstrikes targeted facilities belonging to the Syrian government. The broadcaster mentioned that over 50 Tomahawk missiles were launched at a Syrian airbase in April 2017.
In April 2018, then-US President Donald Trump approved the launch of Tomahawk cruise missiles to destroy what Washington claims were chemical weapons laboratories belonging to the Syrian government.
The area which was bombed on Thursday was also attacked when Trump was in power. In December 2019, the former US president approved to launch airstrikes against militants in eastern Syria and western Iraq.ALSO READ Iraqi FM makes first visit to Iran following US strikes on eastern Syria

Even if true, big deal. A Russian submarine was shadowing most French and English surface assets as well, and in one particular instance an English missile destroyer called-off a strike when it became apparent even the most unlikely collateral damage against Russian troops would have meant certain death by its crew.
Most certainly, the Russians knew full well about that large US Sub, again assuming that this story is true. It is appearing way too conveniently on the headlines years after whatever the actual events may have been. Furthermore there is no reason to explain why a vocal, reckless and bellicose Trump wouldn’t have voluntarily divulged that kind of information during its context in order to appear tough, specially on Russia. He had EVERT reason not to keep silent on this and tell his domestic base “We had our sights on the big bad Russian all along folks, always ready, finger on the trigger to toast’em if need be, we’re the smartest, strongest, greatest army in the world, this is America for you” or some horse shyte like that.5 Reply Translate

Who gives a [I can’t express myself without profanity] he didn’t start one ? He ordered as many strikes as any other hawk in the opening weeks of his come to power on Iraq and Syria, expanded the occupation regime everywhere, lied over and over again on supposed withdrawals, and did everything one could possibly imagine to trigger a war with Iran, with sanctions and constant harassment, culminating as far as killing the country’s number two in a supremely cowardly drone strike that nobody even suspected could happen, considering they then happened to live in an pretty stable and mutually beneficial entente ever since the JCPOA was signed at the Security Council by responsible leaders.1 Reply Translate

For now Heaven is holding back the wind of the WW3. This war, however, is maturing. Moses has already written: “And ships from the direction of Kittim [US Navy], and will afflict Asshur [Russia] and will afflict Eber [remaining enemies, including Iran and China].” (Numbers 24:24a) This armada will not return home. (Numbers 24:24b) This time it will be a world war not only by name. The “great sword” will also be used. (Revelation 6:4) Jesus characterized him in this way: “A frightening things both and extraordinary (related to unusual phenomena) from sky powerful will be.” (Luke 21:11) Some ancient manuscripts contain the words “and frosts”. The Aramaic Peshitta: “and will be great frosts”. We call this today “nuclear winter”. In Mark 13:8 there are also words of Jesus: “and disorders” (in the sense of confusion and chaos). The Aramaic Peshitta: “and confusion” (on the state of public order). There will be also significant tremors along the length and breadth of the regions, food shortages and epidemics as a result of using this weapon. All of this was not meant to last over 100 years! All this was to accompany only this war. Jesus stated: “All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.” (Matthew 24:7, 8) Others also wrote about this war. (Isaiah 5:24, 25; Daniel 11:29b, 30a) This war will be the sign of the conclusion of the system of things, and the sign that Jesus’ announcements are beginning to come true.
