Police are investigating the deaths of two tourists who fell from the balcony of an Ibiza hotel as a potential murder-suicide.
Detectives said they have not come to a final conclusion but confirmed that evidence so far suggests that the man pushed his partner off the fourth-floor balcony before leaping to his death.

ShareThe alarm was raised at around 4:30am on Thursday morning but paramedics could do nothing to save the couple, who were pronounced dead at the scene.
Local media reported that the couple, who were sharing the same room, had been heard arguing by some Belgian tourists before they plunged more than 15 feet to their deaths.
Spanish National Police have launched an investigation which is being coordinated by an island court.
At daybreak, investigators began inspecting the balcony and taking statements from guests in the nearest rooms and eyewitnesses.
Several bottles were discovered on a table on the balcony.
The deaths were initially suspected to be accidental but witness testimony persuaded police to treat the incident as a potential case of gender-based violence, local media reported.
Gender-based violence refers to harm committed against an individual because of their gender. It is ‘rooted in gender inequality, the abuse of power and harmful norms,’ according to the United Nations.
