- The city of Kherson has fallen to Russian control, with Russia announcing it will stage a vote in the broader occupied Kherson region — which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called a “sham referendum.”
- The UN chief is visiting Moscow on Tuesday to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and will meet Zelensky in Kyiv later this week.
