Rail strikes June 21, 23 and 25

Three days of nationwide train strikes in June confirmed in biggest walkout since 1989

The RMT union announced plans for the largest bout of industrial action in decades at Network Rail and 13 train operators on June 21, 23 and 25

The rail operators involved are Chiltern Railways, Cross Country Trains, Greater Anglia, LNER, East Midlands Railway, c2c, Great Western Railway, Northern Trains, Southeastern, South Western Railway, Transpennine Express, Avanti West Coast and West Midlands Trains.

RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said: “Railway workers have been treated appallingly and despite our best efforts in negotiations, the rail industry with the support of the government has failed to take their concerns seriously.
